Are there any intentions to move away from the "Green screen" application feel?

Hi IJP.
In short, Yes and No.
Let's deal with Green Screen first: There are many sites that do not use WDSC because of various reasons such as; the developers do not know or use it, the 3rd Party software they use make WDSC cumbersome to use. Also, there are many sites that are not even on OS/I5 v5r3m0 yet. There are some sites where some members of the development team use PDM while others prefer WDSC. So we will (for the foreseeable future) be keeping the green screen user interface.
In addition to green screen we will be developing plug-ins for the latest development tool from IBM (as you undoubtedly know, WDSC is now 'out'). We hope to have plug-ins available next year.
As you most likely noticed, ChangefIT is designed around the developer, not the manager i.e. ChangefIT helps the [green screen] developer become more efficient by streamlining the development and installation process. ChangefIT is also customer driven in that when the majority of customers request a change, we normally implement the required change soon after the request is logged. (Note the number of releases since the launch in Nov 2007.)
Our first priority with ChangefIT was to get the basics in place AND right. Our intentions are to do the following (and this depends on demand from our customers):
ChangefIT: continue expanding the features (now adding the "bells and whistles")
DeployfIT: the deployment model - deploying your software across partitions and /or machines.
DeskfIT: The Helpdesk/Service Desk module - The facility for users to log and track their modification/work requests. Also for the IT Dept to log and track cases/incidents/solutions logged to a 3rd party software vendor. These will naturally be linked to each (or multiple) projects/work requests. Deskfit will, in addition, be web facing as to allow users (i.e. non-IT staff) to do this via their intranet and webbrowser. Of course, the green screen option for DeskfIT will remain available.
Hopefully, we have answered your question fully. Please do not hesitate to post again should you require more information. btw... the next release of ChangefIT (v2.16) is due at the end of the June 2008 and is quite an exciting release, includes COBOL and CHGPF command support.
